What to expect?
Our worship at Second Chance is modern, rooted in the Methodist tradition, and shaped by the hope of recovery and renewal. Services include uplifting contemporary music, practical preaching grounded in Scripture, and moments of prayer and reflection designed to bring healing and encouragement. Recovery themes are woven into worship, reminding us that God’s grace offers freedom, restoration, and new beginnings. Every service is a safe place to be honest, to grow, and to encounter God’s love in community.

What time is does it start?
Worship starts at 10:30am on Sundays. We are usually there and ready for you around 10am, so you’re welcome to come early to get to know the community. Worship lasts about 60-75 minutes.
Where can I find parking and the entrance?
The door is located along State St and when you walk in to the left is a set of stairs to take. Avondale Ave is a one way street but there is street parking. There is also street parking available on State St.
What is the worship style?
Our worship includes mixes of modern and ancient practices, and a relevant message to create a meaningful worship experience.
What should I expect?
To be welcomed at the front door and invited to join in song with the congregation. There will be updates on what's happening in our community, as well as prayer, scripture reading, and a time of teaching from one of our pastors.
Who is Second Chance for?
Second Chance is a new worship community for people who need a second chance or are ready to give church a second chance. Short Answer: It’s for you! We all need a second chance. This church is ready to welcome you home.
Where should I sit?
Wherever feels most comfortable. Some of us prefer to sit near the front, while others prefer the back.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel comfortable. Our leaders are usually dressed casually in a t-shirt and jeans. Feel free to dress up if you'd like!
Is there coffee?
Yes! We make sure to have coffee, cream, and sugar hot and ready every time we gather.
Is there child care?
Not yet! Do you need childcare? Let us know so we can gauge interest/need for the future of Second Chance!
Can I bring my child to service with me?
Yes! We love having kids take part in worship. As we grow, we hope to provide more for kids in the future!
